Decision 6: Playing the other table games – baccarat, casino poker, blackjack variations Baccarat
is a no-brainer card game in which you bet on either the player’s hand or the
banker’s hand, both of which are played according to house prescribed rules.
Keep a scorecard and record the wins and losses, then look for patterns
– choppy or streaky. Most
gamblers bet on whether or not these patterns will continue or terminate.
There
are no known methods for turning the house odds to your favor on Baccarat. With
the possible exception of Pai Gow Poker, there are no known methods for gaining
the edge in any of the other casino table games.
It
is this writer’s opinion that the casinos have introduced these games over the
past few years to make gambling more fun, but with the underlying motive of
increasing their bottom lines with the increased profits that these games
generate over the traditional blackjack, craps and roulette. The
Casino Poker games – Caribbean Stud, Let it Ride, Three-card Poker and Pai Gow
Poker are discussed in Casino Gambling, Chapter 19.
Variations of traditional blackjack such as double-exposure blackjack,
Multiple Action Blackjack, and Spanish 21 are discussed in Chapter 20. I do not recommend playing any of the games mentioned in this Decision 6. Links to other Decisions Leading to Winning Sessions q
